The Henries Awards

The Henries awards take place each year and are the greeting card industry's answer to the Oscars! Card companies both big and small enter their latest or updated ranges and around 60 buyers judge each category. I was first shortlisted in 2013, for the most promising young designer award and have entered various categories every year since. The awards are usually presented at a West London hotel, where the industry comes together for a night of partying - it's a real highlight of the year. Collaboration With the Houses of Parliament Shop

I was delighted to collaborate with the Houses of Parliament shop on a festive illustration that has been applied to a range of products. I drew the original illustration in black pen on paper, before digitally enhancing it with a warm winter palette. The design has been inspired by the Frost Fairs that took place on the River Thames right up until the 19th century.  The collection includes greeting cards, a tea towel, tote bag, coaster and mug.

Berlin

I visited Berlin earlier this month for a bit of sightseeing with my boyfriend. This is the third time I have visited the German capital, but the first time I have had chance to properly wander the city. We had two nights and three days there, but would have happily spent another day or two as there is so much to see and do! Berlin feels pretty big, so we bought daily travel cards and used a lot of public transport to navigate the city.
