The Henries awards take place each year and are the greeting card industry's answer to the Oscars! Card companies both big and small enter their latest or updated ranges and around 60 buyers judge each category. I was first shortlisted in 2013, for the most promising young designer award and have entered various categories every year since. The awards are usually presented at a West London hotel, where the industry comes together for a night of partying - it's a real highlight of the year. The pandemic has changed so much and that of course includes attending events of this nature. With that in mind, the ceremony took place virtually this year. I watched the winners announced from the comfort of my living room, and I never expected to win an award! I am delighted to have won the best 'Christmas Counter Range 2020' with my decoration cards. I am so pleased that this range has gained recognition. I love designing for Christmas and it has become a key part of my year. There are some images of my winning range below.
